Description
Swiftcurrent falls, one of the spectacles of Glacier National Park and one of my favorite places to photograph. On this morning the light was setting up for a perfect sunrise with beautiful colors in the sky and bouncing off the water. I can hear the water rushing down the falls now.

Beautiful silky water in this rushing river and a glorious time of day to capture it. Congratulations on your 1st place win in the Beauty of the Northwest contest.

Outstanding image Mark. Great composition and the light is amazing. Nothing like being in the right place(and the effort it requires) when Mother Nature decides to show off a little.

Thanks so much Jeff. It means a lot to mean when a fellow photographer recognizes what goes into creating an image. I have been in this spot many times, most coming up empty. This time I was able to catch, as you put it so well, "Mother Nature showing off". Thanks again.

Thanks Alex, Glacier National Park is beautiful. If you haven't been lately, you should bring your camera. It is a photographers paradise.
