Description
The first light of sunrise warms the landscape surrounding the Many Glacier Hotel as the mist rises from Swiftcurrent Lake to great the early risers. The Many Glacier Hotel is one of the great historical landmarks in Glacier National Park and the National Park system. Built by the Great Norther Railroad, the main wing opened to visitors on July 4th, 1915. Built in the style of a swiss chalet, this grand Hotel had many beautiful features like a giant stone fire place and circular staircase which is no longer there. Recently renovated, this rustic and beautiful building still graces the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake. While lacking in many modern amenities, the hotel is filled every night and visitors usually need to reserve rooms at least 6 month in advance.
