Tonquin Beach was on of my favorite places to shoot. I didn't get many images and the conditions weren't the sense of peace and relaxation that I felt while there allowed me to capture at least one good image. It was also less populated which made it easier to compose images. This image is another angle of one of my top images of my trip to Vancouver Island. This one the sun is lower and it shows more of the beach and the stream. Tonquin Beach is named after an American Trading vessel that sank after historic altercations between the crew and local First Nations people. The wreck has never been found and is why the title of the image is Ghostship Sunset.

My photography focus is primarily nature and wildlife. I have a strong passion for the outdoors, capturing images that help preserve the numerous public lands and all that they offer. My travels take me all over the western united states to the common and not so common places. Many of my photos concentrate on the National Parks of Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Arches National Parks. Other areas of my travels include Moab Utah, Central Oregon, the Oregon coast and many areas around my home State of Washington. Take your time and enjoy my images.
