Description
These large Iron Wheels belong to the US Plywood Steam Locomotive located in the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie Washington. This train is a 2-6 6-2 compound mallet Steam engine. Built in 1926, this Locomotive made it's way around the Pacific Northwest through a couple of different lumber companies before come to rest in this museum. When the museum first obtained the old steam engine, it was completely restored to a working state and used to carry visitors on a short train ride to North Bend and back to Snoqualmie. It was retired for good in 1990 but still kept in great condition.
