Description
Palouse falls in Washington State is located in a rural area of South Eastern Washington. Even though it is not easy to get to, many people travel to see this spectacular place that is also the state Waterfall of Washington State. It is definitely worth the visit any time of year. While many might think that winter might not be good time to see the falls, I would say that is should be a must see time. It is best after the temperatures have been below freezing for several days. The spray from the plunge pool creates unique patterns of ice on the surrounding rock walls that turn the area into something other worldly. Some of the ice just hands off the wall like a typical icicle and others seem to hug and drape over the rocks creating a ribbon-like effect. I would highly recommend visiting in the winter but make sure you pack your warm clothes.
I offer a variety of landscape, nature and wildlife images and fine art digital paintings. I also have many agricultural, farming and countryside images as well. Most of my work is from around the Pacific Northwest, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, British Columbia, and Alberta. Please look through my galleries or visit my website to view my full portfolio.
All of my work is original and copyrighted. The watermarks will not be on your final print. Thank you for looking and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
