Description
With fall around the corner, the hot summer days are gone. This means it will take longer for this farmers crop of alfalfa to dry and be ready for bailing. There is a delicate balance when it comes time to bale. The farmer needs the hay to be dry enough as to not mold after baled but also be in a state to minimize leaf loss while keeping as much nutritional value to his crop. Today, the sun is out and the field is almost dry. Baling should be begin soon. This image is of an irrigated alfalfa crop outside of Cheney Washington.
