Description
Autumn is near its end at Oxbow Bend in Grand Teton National Park. The water is down and the last few leaves are clinging on to the branches. A low cloud bank drifts in front of Mount Moran. All signs point to winter is not to far around the corner. Until then, there is so much beauty to be enjoyed in this season. There are so many amazing sights to see in Grand Teton National Park. Autumn is my favorite season to visit because of all the fall color and the active wildlife but other seasons offer their own touch to the very scenic park. Many of the images that people see of Mount Moran reflected in Oxbow Bend tend to have all the aspen and other vegetation in peak autumn color. That is why I like this photo so much. It offers a glimpse of what this area looks like when most or all of the color has left. As you can tell there is still so much beauty to be found.

Landscape photography doesn't get any better than this. A fantastic shot, Mark!
Mark Kiver replied:
Thanks Robert. At first I was a little disappointed when I was shooting this because most of the fall color was gone and the water level was down more than usual and affected the reflection. But I also realized this is a different version of Oxbow Bend that you normally see. Thanks again Robert for your kind words.
