A thin cloud bank behind Chief Mountain captured soft pink and purple colors from the sunrise to highlight this iconic peak of over 9,000 feet. This is a sacred mountain full of many legends of the Blackfeet Indians. It was on my wish list for several years to photograph this Majestic Mountain. On this crisp early fall morning, I was blessed with great color, light and clouds. Located in the North Eastern part of Glacier National Park, you can find many great views of the mountain along the Chief Mountain high way that runs up to the Canadian boarder.
My photography focus is primarily nature and wildlife. I have a strong passion for the outdoors, capturing images that help preserve the numerous public lands and all that they offer. My travels take me all over the western united states to the common and not so common places. Many of my photos concentrate on the National Parks of Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Arches National Parks. Other areas of my travels include Moab Utah, Central Oregon, the Oregon coast and many areas around my home State of Washington. Take your time and enjoy my images.
