Historically referred to as the graveyard of the Pacific, the West Coast of Vancouver Island is one of Canada's worst coastlines for Shipwrecks. Amphitrite Point is one of the places that a lighthouse was built to warn ships of the treacherous shoreline. The point was named for the naval warship the HMS Amphitrite. In 1906 a wooden lighthouse was built on the point only to be destroyed by storm waves in 1914. In 1915 it was replaces by the current lighthouse. The lighthouse is easy to access by way of the popular Wild Pacific Trail located just outside the town of Ucluelet.

I offer a variety of landscape, nature and wildlife images and fine art digital paintings. I also have many agricultural, farming and countryside images as well. My photography focus is primarily nature and wildlife. I have a strong passion for the outdoors, capturing images that help preserve the numerous public lands and all that they offer. My travels take me all over the western united states to the common and not so common places. Many of my photos concentrate on the National Parks of Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and Arches National Parks. Other areas of my travels include Moab Utah, Central Oregon, the Oregon coast and many areas around my home State of Washington. Take your time and enjoy my images.
